1. Who provides the Service
These Terms form an agreement between you and EV Connected (“we”, “us”, or the “Provider”), located at operator address pending. Contact: contact pending. The Provider operates from Romania.
By creating an account or accepting these Terms, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not pair a phone or use remote controls.
2. Eligibility and vehicle authority
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. You may connect only a vehicle and Android phone that you own or are expressly authorized to control. You are responsible for everyone you permit to access your account, phone or vehicle.
3. What the Service does
The Service relays supported status, telemetry and bounded remote commands between your browser, a paired Android gateway and a compatible plug-in vehicle. The initial supported vehicle profile is the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross PHEV. Compatibility depends on vehicle model year, firmware, phone, Android permissions, cellular coverage, the vehicle Wi-Fi link and third-party networks.
The Service is independent and is not endorsed by, affiliated with or supported by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. Vehicle and product names remain the property of their respective owners.
4. Account and one-phone pairing
Keep your password and devices secure. One account can have one active Android gateway. Pairing codes are short-lived and single-use. You must unpair a lost, sold, reset or transferred phone promptly. You are responsible for activity performed through valid account or device credentials unless applicable law provides otherwise.
5. Remote-command safety
Commands are requests, not guarantees. They may arrive late, execute after conditions change, be rejected by the vehicle, or produce an incomplete status response. Always verify the vehicle directly before relying on locks, doors, lights, climate, charging or location information.
Do not use the Service as an alarm, anti-theft system, emergency service, child/pet safety system, medical aid, diagnostic tool, or substitute for safe physical inspection. Do not operate it while driving or when doing so would be unlawful or unsafe.
6. Data and privacy
The Service processes account details, device identity, vehicle state, commands, precise location and phone connectivity telemetry to provide the features you activate. Ten-minute connectivity/location telemetry is kept for a maximum of 60 days. The separately enabled Advanced online telemetry feature stores identity-minimized trip summaries and lean route/vehicle samples until the owner requests trip-history deletion or account deletion; pairing a device does not enable that feature by itself. A redacted diagnostic report containing bounded read-only ECU evidence is stored only when you press Save to cloud; the newest 50 per paired installation are retained and can be deleted from the account. If other people drive or use the vehicle, you are responsible for informing them that location and vehicle telemetry may be transmitted.
7. Acceptable use
You may not probe or bypass access controls, pair devices without authority, interfere with another account, overload the Service, issue commands to cause harm, reverse credentials, distribute malware, or use the Service unlawfully. Reasonable automated gateway traffic is permitted only through the supplied app and protocol.
8. Availability, updates and changes
The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, security, network outages, third-party failures or vehicle limitations. The Android app may install signed updates when that option is enabled on the phone. We may change or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, and will provide appropriate notice for material changes when practical.
9. Third-party services
The Service may rely on hosting and network providers, Cloudflare delivery/security services, Brevo transactional email delivery, Android platform services and OpenStreetMap map tiles. Their availability and separate terms may affect features. We do not control the vehicle manufacturer’s systems or mobile operators.
10. Suspension, termination and deletion
You may stop using the Service and unpair your gateway at any time. You may request account deletion using the contact above. We may restrict or suspend access to protect users, vehicles or the Service, investigate abuse, comply with law, or address a serious breach. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and offer a way to contest the decision.
11. Warranties and liability
The Service is provided with reasonable care but, to the fullest extent permitted by law, without a promise of uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every vehicle and phone. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or limits your mandatory consumer rights.
Subject to that rule, we are not responsible for loss caused by unauthorized credentials, ignored warnings, unsafe use, vehicle/mobile-network failures, or information you knew was stale or incomplete.
12. Consumer rights and disputes
Your mandatory rights under applicable Romanian and EU consumer law remain unaffected.
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. Romanian law governs these Terms, without depriving you of mandatory protections in your country of residence. Competent courts are determined by applicable law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for new features, legal requirements or security needs. Material changes will be presented for acceptance in the platform. The version accepted by your account is recorded with a timestamp.
